This 1400 sq ft Mediterranean-style home opened the doors to create something exceptional. The challenge was to work within the height constraints of the property, while still achieving the client's vision of a more spacious environment. Our solution was to excavate down into the sloping lot and create an entirely new level below the existing structure.
Through this innovative approach, we were able to add two additional bedrooms, a large bathroom, and a second kitchen, effectively increasing the home's square footage to 2200 square feet. We also aimed to increase the charm and function of the residence, while simultaneously adding value to the property. The home now boasts not only increased square footage, but also enhanced functionality, charm, and value.
